Laughter Yoga is a mind-body exercise which counteracts the negative effects of stress
and has a profound effect on health and well being.
It was developed in 1995 by Dr. Madan Kataria, a medical doctor from India,
and is based on the scientific evidence that the body
cannot tell the difference between simulated and real laughter...
both produce the same ‘happy chemistry’.
In laughter yoga there is no need for jokes, comedy or even a sense of humor
to receive the benefits of real laughter.
It is accomplished through laughter exercises, deep breathing,
stretching and playfulness.
